Privacy Policy

This policy covers what the bot does today. When a feature adds new data or a new service provider, this page changes first.
What we collect
- From Twitch, when you log in: your Twitch user ID, login name and display name, and when you confirmed you are 18 or older. We also keep the login token Twitch gives us, encrypted. It has no extra permissions; it only proves who you are.
- From Discord, when you run setup: your server's ID, the IDs of the channels and roles Sidekick makes or you pick, your Discord user ID, and the IDs of people you give access with
/sidekick access. - A log of setup actions (who ran setup, undo or access changes, and when), so we can fix problems and prevent abuse.
What we don't collect
- Sidekick does not read your Discord server's messages or member list.
- Sidekick does not read your Twitch chat, and it can't post or change anything on your channel.
- We don't sell data, show ads, or use tracking cookies. Website visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
The Affiliate checker
When you look up a Twitch name, we ask Twitch for that channel's public numbers and show them to you. We don't store the name or the result.
Why we use it
Only to run the features you turned on: knowing when you go live, posting the alert in your server, and managing the Sidekick space.
Who else handles it
- Twitch and Discord, because Sidekick works through their official APIs.
- Cloudflare, which serves this website, carries traffic to our server, and runs the bot check (Turnstile) on the Affiliate checker.
Sidekick doesn't use any AI service today. If a future feature does, the provider will be named here before that feature turns on.
Where it's stored and for how long
On our own server in the United States. Tokens are encrypted at rest. We keep your data while Sidekick is set up in your server. Your IP address is used briefly to rate-limit the login page and isn't stored.
Deleting your data
Run /sidekick undo to remove what Sidekick made, then remove the bot from your server. To delete everything we hold about you, email support@streamersidekick.live from any address and tell us your Twitch name; we confirm through Discord or Twitch and delete within 30 days. You can also disconnect Sidekick in Twitch under Settings, Connections.
Age
Sidekick is for creators 18 and older.
